1. Implementing N.I.M.S. for the Fire Service
This 90-minute course covers the knowledge, skills, and abilities, needed to show the students how to manage resources at an allhazard
event using the National Incident Management System. This course addresses Goals 3 and 4 of the United States Fire
Administrations Emergency Services Leader Strategic Plan. This course, using scenario based learning will give the student a game
plan for resource management during an all-hazard situation. Thru lecture and many group scenario assessments, the student will
develop organization charts using NIMS. Topics include introduction to NIMS, Command and General Staff Positions with an emphasis
placed on managing all-hazards incidents. The examples will be reinforced with simulations from many different structures using a state
of the art digital 3-D simulator. This program will be geared to the Company Officer Curriculum for your conference.
